Terms of Service
Last updated: May 30, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using The Film Network (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to act on behalf of that organization.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly at support@thefilm.network if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Profile Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate information when you create or update your profile, your organization page, your production credits, and any other content you submit. You agree to keep that information reasonably current.
5. User-Submitted Information
Most information visible on The Film Network — profiles, organization details, production credits, posts, and similar content — is submitted by users. You are responsible for the information you submit and for ensuring you have the right to share it.
Information you submit to public profiles, organization pages, production pages, posts, and credits may be visible to other users or the public. Do not submit information you do not want displayed publicly.
By submitting content or information to the Service, you grant The Film Network a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, provide, maintain, and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your content.
6. Production Credits
Production credits displayed on the Service are user-submitted unless they are specifically marked as verified. A credit that is not marked as verified should not be treated as confirmed by The Film Network, a production, a guild, an employer, or any other third party.
7. Verification
When an organization, credit, or related item is marked as verified on the Service, this means only that the relevant information was confirmed through The Film Network’s internal process. Verification does not constitute endorsement, accreditation, employment confirmation, union recognition, or any guarantee about the verified item beyond what was confirmed.
8. What The Film Network Is Not
The Film Network is a networking and profile platform. It is not an employer, talent agency, manager, casting service, union or guild authority, payroll or escrow service, legal verifier, background-check provider, or insurance provider. We do not arrange employment, payment, contracts, clearances, or work authorization between users.
9. Prohibited Content and Conduct
You agree not to submit, post, or transmit content that is:
- False, misleading, or deceptive
- Abusive, harassing, threatening, or hateful
- Impersonating another person, organization, or production
- Illegal under applicable law
- Infringing the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party
You also agree not to misrepresent your production credits, your employment, your affiliation with any organization, or your role on any production.
10. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, remove or edit content, restrict features on an account, suspend or terminate access, or take any other action we consider appropriate if we believe these Terms have been violated or if action is needed to protect the Service or its users.
11. Account Deletion and Content Removal
You may request account deletion or correction of account information by contacting support@thefilm.network. Some information may be retained where required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.
12. Service Provided “As Is”
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Film Network and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Contact
